As part of the North Cumberland WMA, Royal Blue covers a massive area, making it a popular destination for ATV enthusiasts. You’ll encounter wildlife such as elk, deer, and rare birds as you ride through the terrain. The speed limit within the WMA is 25 mph to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
If you’re seeking more challenging terrain, the Tackett Creek trail system is for you. Known for its rugged paths and elevation changes, it’s perfect for riders looking to test their skills. Like Royal Blue, Tackett Creek is easily accessible from Walden Woods, allowing you to explore the trails directly from the property.

Children under 12 years and passengers do not need a permit. Permits can be purchased online at Go Outdoors Tennessee.
